Paper Dress: The Curly Rainbow

It had been raining for some days. The pouring rain seemed to back up from the pipe outside and filled my dish washer with smelly water. It leaked all over the kitchen floor and I was feeling very GLOOMY.

One afternoon there was a bit of sunshine after the rain. Big E and Little E were waiting by the window hoping to see a rainbow. Although the rainbow didn't show up that day, Little E and I made our own version of a rainbow later. And the sun started to shine soon after.

I found a pack of pastel color printing paper sitting in the garage. The colors are still vibrant so we cut them into strips using craft scissor to create wiggly edges.

We use a thin marker to curl one end of the strips. Then we school-glued all strips onto a piece of drawing poster paper. I also made Little E a flower barrette.

Here it it - our second paper dress "The Curly Rainbow"!

Little E kept on jumping while I was taking the photos since the curly strips made such interesting crunching sounds!
